Chequamegon Bay Fishing Report 1-10-14
It was another cold week, but Chequamegon Bay was smoking hot!
Josh, Acorn, and John hosted John Gillespie and the entire crew from Waters & Woods Television on Tuesday and Wednesday for two awesome days of fishing and filming on Chequamegon Bay. Lakers up to 28″, browns up to 24″, splake up to 20″, cohos up to 15″, whitefish up to 17″, and a 20″ burbot were all caught in 20′ to 40′ jigging Kastmaster spoons and Sebile Vibratos. What an incredible couple of days on the big lake! Tune in tomorrow morning (Sat., 1-11-14) to Fox Sports North at 9 a.m. and watch the guys put John and his gang on some incredible fishing. I can’t wait to see it!
Josh and Acorn were back at it on Thursday guiding soon to be newlyweds David Leslie and Megan Marshall from Virginia. In a half day on the water, the crew iced splake up to 19″, browns up to 22″, whitefish up to 20″, and lakers up to 21″. Tip-ups with golden shiners and Kastmaster spoons jigged in 30′ to 60′ of water produced one heck of a nice catch two fiances that can definitely fish. Remember everybody… The family that fishes together, stays together! Congratulations to David and Megan on a great day, and best wishes to you both!
Josh reports that ice conditions on the bay continue to vary with 4″ to 15″ of ice from Red Cliff to Washburn. Remember to be safe out there everyone, and have a great weekend!

Just got to see the Waters and Woods episode. Is this what you refer to as “bobbing”? Looks like some fun fish to catch. Keep up the nice work, Josh!!
