Hayward Area Fishing Report 5-4-13
I think this picture from the LCO boat landing taken this morning by Terry Peterson says it all. The Winter of 2013 continues to have a death grip on the Hayward area, and I spent my Wisconsin Opener in the house working on the computer. We awoke this morning to pouring ice pellets and 32 degrees. Terry, my father, and I have a long standing tradition of fishing together on opening weekend. Needless to say, this was a hard pill to swallow. On a positive note, we do need the moisture after the hot and dry summer we had last year. Mother Nature always has a way of evening things out. Temps are supposed to warm up this week, and I suspect we will see some open water by Friday. At least I am hoping we will! Stay tuned…
