Chequamegon Bay Fishing Report 5-4-13

As you can see from this picture taken yesterday at the boat landing in Ashland, we still have a ways to go before the bay opens up.  17 inches of snow, yes I said 17!, pounded the Ashland area on Wednesday night.  It looks more like January than May around here.  This spring has definitely been one for the books.  There is a pretty good spread of open water in the middle of the bay, so some sun and wind might make quick work of things if Mother Nature will finally cooperate with us.  I will keep you posted.  Stay tuned…
