St. Louis River, Wisconsin Fishing Report 7-24-13

After lunch we spend a couple of hours fishing walleyes until our attention turned to muskies. In the last hour of the day we saw three fish while Steve had a brief battle at boat side with a mid 40’s fish before landing a cranker 45″ fish on a topwater bait. He did a great job handling the fish as it was thrashing and ripping drag near the boat. We were able to slip the net under it and notched the largest musky of Steve’s fishing career. What a great day for a great guy. He deserved it!

I have lived and fished in northern Wisconsin my entire life and fishing with Jeff I was able to catch the biggest Muskie and walleye of my life. We had great weather , a lot of laughs and amazing fishing. Thanks for a day I will never forget!
Go get em Morgan! It’s good to see you can still out fish your dad. Congratulations Steve on a day to remember!
